National Sheepdog Trials
Click here for pictures of the clubs presence at the National Sheepdog Trials at Castle Hill on 21st, 22nd, 23rd August. This was combined with a country fair which N.D.Woodturners supported, with all profits going to the North Devon Hospice.

Woodturning DVD's and Videos Wanted
We are wanting to update our videos to a DVD collection. If you have any unwanted DVD's that you could donate to the club for members to learn from then please contact any of the committee below.

Lottery Bid (April 2011)
Over the past months, Ben Benham with the help from our Treasurer John Saffin have spent many hours putting together an application to the lottery fund for a grant towards replacing some of our equipment. It has been a very taxing task but we are finally in a position to submit our application.

If successful it will enable you all to get the benefit of a new lathe and better viewing of demonstrations. The submission is for funds to get 2 new LCD screens, camera and a variable speed lathe with accessories.

We hope this bid will be successful and will keep you all informed via website.

In January 2012 the club held its AGM. Cyril Johns was re-elected as Chairman. Richard Green was elected as Secretary. Roy Turner was elected as the club's first President. All other committee members were voted back into office.

David Vincent was this year's winner of the 'Most Improved Member' Trophy, awarded by the club to encourage members to improve their turning skills.
